Scrooge, A Christmas Carol
Scrooge, A Christmas Carol (1951)
Alastair Sim
There are many movie versions of “A Christmas Carol” out there, but this is one of the best ones. In many other people’s reviews of this movie, they say, this is their favorite version of it. It also happens to be my favorite version too.
Alastair Sim plays Scrooge very well and as far as I can tell, this is the closest version to Charles Dickens’s book, “A Christmas Carol”, that is out there. I am not much of a reader, but I have read this book twice. It is an easy read, only about 60 pages, and it was very good too, so I highly recommend reading the book also.
“A Christmas Carol” is definitely a classic and it will endure for many years to come.
This movie version is one of, if not, the best version out there, and I enjoy watching it from time to time, around Christmas time, every year, or at least every other year or so. I don’t like to watch to much TV all of the time, but when I do, I like to watch the ones I like to watch, and this one is definitely worth watching again and again, especially around Christmas time.
